I always thought this would be the perfect sign to hang above my studio door.  I hate to be disturbed while I am doing my magic.  I wrap myself in a magical aura, mix my potions and cast my spells.  And then abracadabra!   Something else is saved from the land fill.  This door topper was…ugh, I don’t know…ugly.

Country colors…faded, homespun angel…factory painted, just yuck.  But the size and shape are perfect.  And the only thing I had to buy was some red glitter.  I don’t usually use glitter, but how else would the shoes looked so magical?  Yep, they look  magical, but they aren’t enough to get you through the studio door!

I love it!  It looks great hanging there…but I am putting it in my shop

Which means it will probably stay right where it is, LOL!  Oh well, you never know…there might be another Art Wizard without a proper Do Not Enter sign.

This is my entry for “mystique” at Inspiration Avenue. I can’t wait to see what everyone else created, it was a terrific theme!

Now I am off to up date my shop  I hope Etsy is in a good mood.  Sometimes he is such a bear, or is it just me?

Shine on my pretties…

xox, Lisa

  1. your sign is adorable, but it won't let me in to your shop! I think it is working way too well!! xo

  2. I really like this!! I am going to make something for my door! However, I sometimes like interruptions, but mostly I like to be in that little bubble. This is a great little quote and the glitter is PERFECT!

  3. Oh, this is soo cool! I love it!

  4. Sweet Lisa! Thank you so very much for your heartfelt comment regarding my mother. Made my spirit smile!

Another smile is for that "way too cool" sign above your studio! Now ya know we're going to have to work something out. Because dear friend..I NEED ONE. Can you hook me up?

I know. I heard what you said. But I'm hoping you'll reconsider. What would it take??? You won't be getting rid of me that quickly. I'll be back..again and again until I wear you down.

Ha ha ha. Seriously..get back with me if you'd like to talk a deal. I'm completely serious! This creation is just soooo meeee.

Closing for now. But like I said, I'll be back. Blessings, persistence and friendship,Terri

  5. Lisa, you MUST put this in your shop! You will have people knocking each other down(metaphorically speaking, I know we are in cyberspace) to buy it!

I love the Wizard of Oz. I can just picture Dorothy and her friends getting turned away at the door. The ruby slippers are great ~ you absolutely had to use glitter!

  6. Ooh this is fab, I love it! I'm not usually a glitter sort of girl either, but it really works here! And there's just something about red shoes ...! x

  7. ooohh...the wizard & dorothy! i love that movie (i think i've loved it about 30 times). just adore the red, glitzy shoes!

  8. This is fabulous! Love it and so perfect! I would certainly love this in my home, bring such joy and fun while entering the next room! Cool!

    Big Hugs!

  9. oh lisa :) what a treasure!!! i love the way you interpret mystique and i just love this quirky little signage of yours :)) hahaha ... red heels with jailbird socks ... i can imagine the person on top with her arms at her hips ... wicked!

  10. Lisa, I was so busy adding each person's art to the blog post, that I forgot to comment on some of them! I love this, Dorothy is one of my all time favorites!

  11. Great prize! I didn't realize One Heart had started already. Off to visit a bunch of blogs.

  12. I stopped by yesterday to leave a comment on this and was whisked away so I'm back to tell you how much I ADORE your submission for this week's challenge - Love, love, love it!!

  13. OH MY GOD!!! You like WOZ, too?! I can sing like a Munchkin - would that get me through the door? That sign is SO PERFECT!!! I LOVE IT!!!
