Thought of the Week

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

I’ve been busy creating new pieces for my shop.  My goal is to have at least 5 new and beautiful things to list by Sunday.  I’ve been hard at it this week and I have all of today!  :)  I am in my happy place!

Everything I make has to be of significance to me.  It has to be something I would buy.  I don’t know if that is the best way to make a living (I am pretty sure it isn’t) But I AM making myself very happy!

I am so blessed to be able to be so self-indulgent.  And grateful.

DSCN0542  This journal is one of the priti things

I have other projects in different stages to keep me busy all day…and then the yucky part…taking pictures and listing them in Etsy.  *sigh*  The best part about that is when it is done.

Thank you all for reading…don’t worry, I’ll be popping into your blogs soon…tripping over things, spilling my wine and leaving snide comments :)

Peace and Hugs, Lisa

PS:

Plumrose Lane is my friend Sharon’s new blog…most of you know her… I got my new background there.  In addition to being the queen of jewelry, she has a fabulous talent for graphics.  She has loads of beautiful decor for your blog and tutorials to help…click the link and see for yourself!

  4. Woe, thanks so much for the plug! I'm still trying to figure out why my little banner isn't showing up on your blog background, I even checked the code on my own blog last night, lol!

Your work is always so beautiful Lisa, I simply adore this journal and can't wait to see what else you created.

The truth is I believe you have the perfect approach to business... doing what you love and loving what you do. It seems to work the best rather than simply producing something to make a sale. Perhaps people can pick up on this, that the energy actually transmits through the creation, who knows, but just keep doing what you are - it's perfection every time.

  6. Hi Lisa,
it's been a while, sorry. Your journal cover looks great and I am sure it will hold the heart of the purchaser, beautifully secure, when they add to its pages. A beautiful philosophy to work by and wishing you many sales.

  10. Love the journal cover, and you are so right; creating from the heart is the only way to go! At least for an artist- sure you can start creating pieces you *think* other folks want, but that's not really being an artist so much as being a "contractor".....and I think work done in that manner just doesn't have any soul....
Sorry for ramblibg, you hit a topic close to my heart :)

  11. It's cool that you're concentrating on your etsy shop. I haven't yet delved into my artfire shop and hope to have things in there in the next month or so. This journal is very pretty! Love all the layers, and it's just in time for the season.
