20 January 2011

Oh, January…Bleh!

Remember when I said

2011 will be a magical year?

Especially for artists,

tree-huggers, optimistic sorts

and people who just deserve a break.

I still believe it, although January sucks so far.

I’ve had a brick in my belly for a few days.

I made 3 saints.

St. Jude

Patron Saint of the Hopeless.

I am on the look-out for a red gem for his cross.

Other wise he is perfect.

St. Anne.

Mother of Mary.

Patron Saint of mothers,

the terminally ill

and (my favorite) junk collectors.

I painted her as the young Anne.

And of course…

another Mary…

She is regal. And a bit taller.

St. Jude and St. Anne are spoken for,

But, Holy Mary is available.

I have a lot of blogging to do…

and a lot of work…

so many ideas.

I made this ‘relic’ today…

only took me 4 hours.

I have so many thing I am in the middle of…

And by ‘in the middle of’ I mean

skittering around in my brain.

I sound like I am crazy,

but I’m not the only one.

I’m in extraordinary  company.
