Paint Party Friday #3

This is what I’ve been working on this week…

My art journal that will be traveling the globe and return to me next year…filled with art from 12 other artists.

I decided to make my own book

DSCN2639

and rather than bind it

(something I’ve haven’t done, yet)

I decided on a loose-leaf format.

I think it will be easier for every one to work in,

I made a hinged book like box,

and cut heavy weight paper to fit inside.

I also did the first page,

which introduces me.

I still need a artist sign-in something…

I am thinking a pocket attached to the lid,

with a tag for each artist.

Does anyone have a better idea?

I wanted to add all sorts of things to this project,

but I am being mindful of postage costs.

Maybe this will teach me the new habit of restraint.

LOL, somehow I don’t believe that :)

Check back to see a bigger picture of the art page…

Tomorrow!

I am having loads of fun looking at everyone’s work,

it’s an incredible mix of talent!

Tiamo,

Lisa

  24. This is gorgeous. I love the rich colour and texture of the cover. I like the way it is a box book and will allow for people's art to have dimension and the loose leaves make it easier for them to work on their individual project. I look forward to seeing a larger version of the painting inside as well.

Another great feast for my eyes and imagination!

  36. Have had tons of company so just getting around to seeing your PPF for this week. Love what you did here. The journals for round robins I've been in have all bee so different. I like yours because each artist can work on the pages easily, as you said. Having tags for artist sign in is a great idea. I had each artist put in a photo or drawing of themselves, one inch square and sign and date their journal work.
Have fun and thanks for commenting on my PPF post.
