Inspired by Picasso

I was so caught up in my painting this week

that I almost forgot to take the challenge at Inspiration Avenue.

So I quickly did a spread in my Art Journal

titled ‘Visual Illusion’

DSCN2371

When I say quickly,

I mean almost 2 hours.

Am I the slowest Artist in the world?

Thank you Tammy for the inspiration.

Be sure to visit IA later today!

I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else.

  3. I always love your journal pages. Her face is beautiful with all the geometric planes. This was a challenge I thought would be difficult, but everything is amazing!

I love the quote. Isn't it so true.

  5. What you did with the face was very clever - I've tried doing that before and know how hard it is!

  6. I don't think that's too slow at all. Been meaning to say how much I love the work you just did in last months sketchbook, yur work is always sooo honest. Would you be upset if I post some of what you've done in the book when I post about my current July spread? I'll wait to hear back from you before I do.

  11. Love the journal spread and love getting to see into your studio! Do you really need the bed? I was thinking you'd have loads more room if you took it apart and stood it against the wall if you don't have another spot for it.

  13. What a great addition to your art journal. This beauty is so beautiful and refreshingly original. It would have taken me longer than that just to come p with the idea, much less the drawing. This is a real tribute to both your art and your interpretation of this week's IA challenge.

  15. Nicely done Lisa! It takes me two hours to even come up with an idea let alone execute it. I like the challenges but don't often make the deadline.

  16. Actually, I am possibly the SLOWEST of any artist. Haven't had anything to really show for over a month!! I blame the heat, I tell you!

Your art continues to be amazing! Rock it :)
