A Virgin a Day 4

DSCN2544
Remember, most loving Virgin Mary,
never was it heard
that anyone who turned to you for help
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
though burdened by my sins,
I run to your protection
for you are my mother.
Mother of the Word of God,
do not despise my words of pleading
but be merciful and hear my prayer.
Amen.

  4. Your shrine moved my heart so. I think that the downcast glance of the madonna is so deeply poignant, her soft feminine and youthful grace. Your prayer is so heartfelt and offers so much to all. Thank you for sharing it. It is a beautiful work of art, soul transforming really.
