A Virgin a Day...12 mornings with Mary

Each year, Rebecca hosts A Virgin a Day
at her blog recuerda mi corazon
the first 12 mornings of December are devoted to The Virgin Mary
a picture, a thought, a prayer...
This is not a religious event, but
a way for all who love Mary to share her beauty, love and light.
For me, it is a spiritual practice,
the way I begin and end each day.
These 12 days of sharing always magnify Mary's glory
and fill me with more joy,
peace and gratitude.
Thank you Rebecca for bring us all together.
Everyone is welcome to join...

Or share your own Mary-Love.

Mother of Mercy
acrylic on birch in a rescued frame
I know I have shown this painting before,
but I love her...She is huge and glorious
and is there to greet you when you walk through the front door.

I also used her to make prayer cards.

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy!

Love to you All♥

I can't remember where I copied this picture from...
I have it in my inspiration folder,
I love everything about it.
the arch
the peeling paint
the turquoise
and especially the disposition of Mary.
She seems world-weary to me.
