Mornings with Mary

Dearest Lady of Guadalupe,
fruitful Mother of holiness,
teach me your ways of gentleness and strength.
Hear my humble prayer offered with heartfelt confidence.

I love devotional candles.
It is my habit to light one and say a prayer
before I begin to work in my studio.

When the candle is gone,
they make a perfect little vase.

I also made these little art blocks.
You can find them on my

I believe this is the beginning to the best week ever!
Love,
Lisa

  3. I'd say that this qualifies as one of those offerings that the Bible calls "fragrant."

  4. Good morning Lisa. Your picture gave me a special smile of recognition. Your vignette is sweet and I happen to have that book and Guadalupe candle as well. I'm feeling very connected across the miles.

  6. Love the votive as vase. Looks like yellow coneflowers (echinacea) but maybe blackeyed susans? They are lovely. Beautiful visit here today.

  11. You always have an eye for the beautiful details of life Lisa :-) Love that little pebble with the heart and wings, did you make that? Drooling over your art blocks too, they look amazing together. The one second from right reminds me of the piece you did in (I think?) Steph's journal, in her soft expression and the gorgeous texture you've created. I hope your prediction for the best week ever is coming true! x
