farewell may...

what a wonder-full month you were!
so much joy!
so many projects!

i transformed a small chest of drawers

& this tall one for my unmentionables
{and hung new blinds}

fresh paint and knobs
for this vanity
because this baby girl passed her state board
and is joining the family biz!
so proud of mia♥
oh! of course i was painting pictures too...
but there was mother's day!
& laundry on the line...
brunches&lunches
and wine!
oh! yes, i was still painting in-between...
but.
there were beds to weed
and
 may flowers to love
and biscotti jars to fill with verbena

and cement blocks to make useful
there are always books to read
and saints to paint...
st luke, patron saint to physicians,
healers & artists
st therese of lisieux
patron to flower-people
kit in a flowered frock

  3. Great stuff here Lisa. You have been busy. Love it all from the succulent garden, the pretty flowers, your paintings and the furniture. These are all such good examples of how you live a beautiful creative life. The laundry hanging on the line is sacred to me. Like the red thread it connects us to our ancestors and to each other. xx

  6. In addition to seeing how this stunning painting came to be, I liked the background music. The Angels are breathtaking. I find it reassuring looking at St. Therese's smiling eyes. I almost gasped when I saw kitty rubbing against your painting, hoping that the paint was dry! What a wonderful fulfilling May must be for you. I love all your pieces!
